Nana passed away just a litte while ago. She was with her daughter Gina when she passed. Thank you for all of the support from everyone. We know Nana is in a far better place, and is in paradise with the Lord.

Nana will be admitted to Pacific Gardens Nursing & Rehab Center today. There is nothing else that can be done for her at the Hospital. We will likely have Hospice Care opened up as of tomarrow. You may visit her in room 9 bed 2. We are not sure of what time she will arrive. You can call 251-8463 to see if she is at Pacific yet.

Nana has now been moved into room 421 at the Fresno Heart Hospital. She is still unable to talk, anyone who now wishes to visit her may now. She does have an infection that requires the use of gowns and gloves. She has had no other changes.

We decided to respect Nana's wishes and request she be taken off of the ventilator. She has had long talks with us in the past and this is what she wanted. So far she is still hanging in there but the odds are not in her favor. We are all prepared for her to finaly be where she wants to and thats rejoicing with the Lord. We have been blessed to have had so much support from everyone who loves Nana. We sincerely Thank You with all of our hearts.

Nana has had no significant changes Blood Pressure and Heart Rate are a little more stable. She openend her eyes a little this morning and was moving a little. It does not appear however that she is aware of what is going on around her. Thank you for your support and prayers....

Nana has had no major changes, Blood Pressure remains low, and Heart Rate remains rapid. They are trying to control both through medication. She is currently sedated for the purposes of the breathing machine, but they will start tapering the sedatives down. For now all we can do is continue to pray, and wait. Thank you for the prayers and words of comfort that many have given to us.

CardioSurgeon has just informed us that they had to put Nana back on a breathing machine. Her lungs and body are just to weak to breath on their own. Her heart rate is also fluctuating high to low. For now she is stable since machine is doing the breathing for her. Your continued prayers are requested for Nana as well as her Family. We are all coping the best we can through this crisis. Thank You

Nana has had no changes as of yet. Heart Rate is being better managed through medication. She is maintaining breathing on own, but Nurses do say she needs to start coughing to exercise lungs. They are trying different breathing treatments to avoid Pnuemonia. We ask for your prayers to help Nana with her lungs at this time, which seems to be the biggest issue for the moment. She is still unable to talk, and is not recognizing some Family Members, many of the Nurses are attributing this to ICU Psychosis which is commomn amongst patients due to being overstimulated with multiple beeps and sensors. Good Morning All,
Went to see Nana this morning at 5:30, she was awake. Still breathing on her own which is great. Update from Nurse is her labs are looking good. Nana still not talking but did attempt to say something which was not clear. No changes besides them changing her IV lines. Thanks again for the prayers.

Nana's Current Status

Nana was able to be taken off of the Ventilator (breathing machine) Today. We are very excited that she is maintaining breathing on her own at this time. She is still in CVU which is Fresno Heart Hospitals ICU at this time. Visitors are still restricted to her immediate family. Nana is able to answer yes and no questions through nodding, but is currently unable to talk. She did sit at the edge of the bed today for a couple of minutes. She is continuing to battle infections but is showing some progress. CardioSurgeon is currently initiating a new medication to help reduce heart rate which is beating faster then it should be. We will continue to update any new info as it happens.
